Elizabeth Wilmshurst, Deputy Legal Advisor at State Department, resigned on March 18, 2003. In her letter of resignation, ONE paragraph was blanked out for the sake of the General Public's interest.
TV4 has now revealed the missing paragraph, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.
Iraq war: The smoking gun?
Documentary evidence has emerged showing that the Attorney General, Lord Goldsmith, changed his mind about the legality of the Iraq war just before the conflict began.
The damning revelation is contained in the resignation letter of Elizabeth Wilmshurst, a legal adviser at the Foreign Office, in which she said the war would be a "crime of aggression".
She quit the day after Lord Goldsmith's ruling was made public, three days before the war began in March 2003.

A question was forwarded to me yesterday with the suggestion to put some thoughts in diary form. As most of you know, I am not the most talented writer, I myself prefer the lab setting doing research on the fundamentals before giving a comment. Reading the tips in a diary today: This Place Needs an Editor! by JaneKnowles. I for one could use a copy editor.
Luckily today's request is about the Netherlands, a tiny country called the Low Lands, so I can keep this diary short and concise.

If everyone is okay with a long thread, I'd like to put off posting another official Plame & Propagannon diary until tomorrow.
If the length is killing you, why don't one of you set up a diary called "Plame & Propagannon Chat" or something like that. In the body of the main diary text of that, I'd mention Gannon's radio stuff today AND make sure you alert people doing research about the VIRUS ALERT stuff talked about up above.
