Cheney's Armstrong Ranchy Friends Lobbyists For Iraq War Interests
Wed Feb 15, 2006 at 09:46:25 AM PDT
There was an interesting little nugget dropped on Hardball last night. With all the speculation around the circumstances surrounding Dick Cheney's shooting of Mr. Whittington, the press has failed to report who the primary "witness" and press liason, Kathryn Armstrong is, who Cheney was keeping company with that weekend and why the Vice President took so damn long in getting his story out.

Arianna's 15 Questions for Woodward. And they're good!
Thu Nov 17, 2005 at 03:23:54 PM PDT
Now I'm not a huge fan of Arianna Huffington. She spends way too much time bragging about hanging out with her celebrity friends and sailing on yachts. And she did a complete sellout job on her date with Chalabi. But she does argue well and in an entertaining manner. On her
website, she lists 15 questions she'd like to ask Bob Woodward.
Below are some of the better questions:
Woodward's "Chosen-Like" Relationship to WH
Wed Nov 16, 2005 at 08:48:10 PM PDT
Everyone remembers Bob Woodward's very disparaging comments regarding Patrick Fitzgerald's conduct in the CIA Leak Investigation. Well,
Laura Rozen has some interesting thoughts:
I just--was struck-during the time period when Miller was released from jail and we learned more about the kind of free rein she had at the NYT, that who was the one other journalist in America who had that kind of relationship with their paper where they could essentially do whatever they want? And it was Bob Woodward.

Call On Harry Reid For Chalabi Interrogation While He's In DC
Mon Nov 07, 2005 at 11:21:48 AM PDT
It's time to call Harry Reid or your senators to ask them to demand the FBI fulfill their promise to question Ahmad Chalabi regarding his part in leaking classified documents to Iran nearly two years ago. And while they're at it, they need to interrogate him about the PreWar Intelligence which he passed to our leaders which proved to be wrong, wrong, wrong.
This is potentially an extraordinary opportunity for Senator Reid to make the nation aware of the level of moral bankruptcy in the White House. Chalabi used our taxpayer money to falsely help this Bush Administration lead our nation into war and this week he'll be partying and taking meetings with our nation's movers and shakers. Most Americans have only a vague idea of who Chalabi is and now is the time to call upon our leaders to drag the Thief of Baghdad in to fill the gaping holes left by Cheney and Roberts in Phase II of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee's report.
Reid, Senate Should Demand FBI Drag Chalabi In For Questioning
Sun Nov 06, 2005 at 11:48:47 AM PDT
The Thief of Baghdad, Ahmad Chalabi is coming to Washington this week to be honored by the American Enterprise Institute (Lynne Cheney is a board member). While he's on American soil, it's high time for the FBI to bring his thieving ass in for questioning.
Harry Reid can kill two birds with one stone by demanding the FBI interrogate Chalabi. If the FBI interviews him, the Senate Select Intelligence Committee can get a whole heap of work done on their Phase II report on the misuse of prewar intelligence by going to the very source of that intel. And Mr. Reid's actions will show how far the administration will scramble to cover-up their association with Chalabi.
Mr. Chalabi comes to town. And We've Got Questions!
Fri Nov 04, 2005 at 04:33:19 PM PDT
Ahmad Chalabi is honoring the American Enterprise Insitute with his presence next week. Mr. Chalabi will also be visiting the ubiquitous Condeleeza Rice while in town.
Certainly there must be all kinds of officials who would love to have a moment or two with Mr. Chalabi, namely, Mr. Harry Reid, the Select Senate Intelligence Committee (well, maybe three members), the FBI, the CIA, the Justice Department, a Special Prosecutor or two, and lots of journalists.
But in case Mr. Chalabi's schedule proves to be a wee bit tight, and he's fully committed, I would love, with the assistance of DailyKos Readers to submit a few questions on behalf of the above mentioned names.
An Open Letter to Patrick Fitzgerald
Sun Oct 30, 2005 at 11:05:36 AM PDT
Dear Mr. Fitzgerald,
So much has been written about what you may or may not be doing. I'm certain that you must feel and indescribable pressure to perform your job as Special Prosecutor on what we all view as a monumental case. Perhaps you read the blogs and laugh to yourself about the wild speculation, perhaps you take some of it seriously. I don't know.
I watch as we project ourselves onto your every action. I read postings in which individuals speculate that you are doing thus and such because it is what they so desperately hope for. I often say "Fitz is doing this because...." as if you're "one of us" and it's ridiculous because I don't know anything about you. I don't know how you think and I certainly have little knowledge of what you know.
Roberts Coverup of Niger Forgeries Coming Tomorrow
Wed Oct 26, 2005 at 09:09:36 AM PDT
In the frenzy that is Fitzmas something major may go unnoticed. Reports are coming in that the Senate Select Intelligence Committee will be finally turning in their long overdue Phase II report on intelligence and its misuse leading to the war in Iraq.
I smell big-time coverup, here. And it's being handcrafted by non other than Dick Cheney and Pat Roberts.

Cheney, Pat Roberts Crafting Investigation Cover-up
Tue Oct 25, 2005 at 04:16:59 PM PDT
We've got a situation here that goes far beyond Plame and may well spell out just how far ANY investigation will go into the Niger forgeries. According to
Laura Rozen in her October 19th report in American Prospect:
"Republicans (the Senate Select Intelligence Committee)view their mission as being not oversight but cover-up. Indeed one source told the "Prospect" that Roberts worked closely behind the scenes with Vice President Dick Cheney's office in crafting the language defining and limiting the investigation's terms - even though the committee is supposed to be investigating and providing oversight of the administration's use of Iraq intelligence."
Bush Saves His Ass With Both Hands
Mon Oct 24, 2005 at 04:34:24 PM PDT
So many delicious interviews and declarations from former president Bush 1 loyalists excoriating the prodigal son's administration. There's Brent Scowcroft who never believed in the Iraq war and who has a heavy distaste for the Neocons. There's Larry Wilkerson, former aide to Colin Powell, who called Cheney, Libby, Condi and the neocons a "Cabal". There's the new, supposedly anti-Neocon Deputy Attorney General, the former Special Prosecutor of AIPAC. And of course there is the intrepid Mr. DeFrank, reporter from the Daily News and good friend of Bush One who seems to have amazing "access" to sources in the Administration. He says that W is furious with the nefarious doings of members of his cabinet. We're hearing "Neocon" a lot right now. We'll be hearing it a lot more.
Do you think it's a coinkydink that all these people are
suddenly, in the space of one week, talking? Hell, no.
Meet the Press Now!!
Sun Oct 09, 2005 at 08:16:02 AM PDT
Russert interviews Dr. Richard Land who heads the Southern Baptist Convention. Land wants the Miers nomination to go through. He says that she'll "Do want the President wants. A betrayal in Texas is akin to being a child molester."
You see folks. As I keep saying, this is about Texas Society. I guess they don't care if they "betray" a nation.
And how about the notion that a Supreme Court judge will do the bidding of a sitting President? Land said that she would do exactly that.
RFKJR "Do or Die" for ENVIRONMENT in few months
Tue Oct 04, 2005 at 12:36:10 PM PDT
Bushco is using the horror of Katrina and Rita to run amok and destroy environmental laws. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., National Resources Defense Council Senior Attorney sent an urgent and blistering letter to constituents spelling out what the Administration is up to:
"The next several months will be "do or die" for America's environment.
The Bush White House is quietly putting radical new policies in place that will let its corporate cronies poison our air, foul our water and devastate our wildlands for decades to come."

U.S. GENERALS WANT OUT OF IRAQ
Sat Oct 01, 2005 at 08:53:10 AM PDT
In a turnaround of military policy, the US generals running the war in Iraq gave a new assessment of the military situation in sworn testimony this week. They claim that the 149,000 troops in Iraq are part of the problem.
According the today's LA TIMES the generals went to Washington and said that U.S. forces were fueling the insurgency and energizing terrorists across the Middle East.
They said that a gradual withdrawal of U.S. troops was IMPERATIVE. You can find the article at: latimes.com
